Kranjska Gora
The town of Kranjska Gora is located at the foot
of the Julian Alps, 810 m above sea level, and has about 2,000
inhabitants. Kranjska Gora is well-known for the Vitranc Slalom
and Giant Slalom Ski World Cup, and is one of the most popular
ski centers among Slovene as well as foreign skiers. The contrast
between snow white rocks and green meadows is the first impression
you may get. Kranjska gora is a starting point for hiking and
mountaineering. Further more impressions due to interesting natural
sights, such as the Prisank mountain window and the Zelenci spring.
Long tourist tradition, winter and summer infrastructure, make
Kranjska Gora a place worth your visit. The world’s largest ski
jump is located in Planica valley, 5 km from Kranjska Gora.
